Hillsdale County School of the Arts (HCSA) is a non-profit organization that seeks to provide musical opportunities for students of all ages and all socioeconomic backgrounds from Hillsdale County.
15th Summer String Festival Concerts
Join us this Thursday and Friday for our Summer String Festival Concerts!
Thursday, August 6 at 7 pm for our Guest Artist Recital featuring Phoebe Gelzer-Govatos, with additional artists will perform selections from the era of Bach, Vivaldi and Handel!
Then on Friday, August 7 at 7 pm, join us to hear the student's perform the pieces they've worked on during the string festival, and Phoebe Gelzer-Govatos performing with the students!
A reception will follow Friday's concert for all attending the concert and any string festival 'alumni' (former string festival participants). Founder Judy Bixler will be present and we hope that some alumni can join us in welcoming her back to Hillsdale!
Both concerts will take place at Davis Middle School auditorium, are free, and open to the public!
Special thanks to Women's Life Chapter 741 for sponsoring the string festival this year!

Calling All String Festival Alumni!
We have something exciting to share:
this year will be our 15th Summer String Festival!!! And to celebrate, we're inviting PAST STRING FESTIVAL PARTICIPANTS back for a special reception on Friday, August 7. The reception will start after the final concert, approximately 8 pm.
If you know someone who took part in some of the early string festival, please share this with them and have them get in contact with us to stay up to date!
